Fine effort by your boys. I'm amazed we were able to make it close since it was pretty obvious y'all won the battle in the trenches. For those of you who weren't there, lemme tell ya, that place was rockin' when we came back and tied it up. It took a lot of intestinal fortitude and discipline for y'all to rally back and win when we had all the momentum and the crowd behind us. Good win. You've got bragging rights for 4 years now unless we meet sooner in the SECC game.
It was a real pleasure meeting Wayne and Bluto as well as several others of your tribe who don't post here. Two things we all agreed on, 1) its a great rivalry, there's a lot of respect on both sides and no real bitterness or hate and 2) it utterly and completely sucks that we don't play this game every year anymore. Its inexplicable that the conference chose to just throw away over 80 years of history and the second oldest rivalry in the South. I still say they should have put y'all in the East and UT in the West and just given you Bama as your permanent opponent. That way all the traditional rivalries are preserved.
IT was a really fun weekend all in all (results on the field were kinda sucky from my perspective). I hope all of you who made it down had nothing but a good experience. I hope we can do it again sometime. I have yet to see the loveliest little village on the plains.
