you don't get the groundswell needed in this MNC age. We have it at UF but I think it pre-dates Meyer. He adds to it due to his success and image (how ridiculous but true is that). Auburn does not seem to have the flash as the national press defines it. I am trying to think of successful teams in the same boat and whether they would also get frozen out. Wisconsin maybe - though they have the Big 10 bias advantage.
It's weird. Why is AU thought of differently in this regard than say Tennessee? Tubs has more charisma than Phil ever had. Y'all have had more success in the last several years. Your game day experience is as good as anywhere in the country. Yet, I bet Tennessee would be elevated by the national press much sooner than y'all would be. It seems the double standard is there when it comes to National Pub.
