"Rest of the story--"

I mentioned before that I met Jeremy in NOLA a couple of times. Well, here's how we met up the first time. I guess it was about 5 years ago because BabyDDS was just a baby and she's 6 now. I was going to be in NOLA for a dental convention and Jeremy was working the one night I had free. He told me to come by the place he was working because he wanted to meet me. It was one of those store front daiquiri places--no tables or anything, just a row of slush machines churning different flavors of daiquiri. Like I said, this was one of the first trips out of town we'd made since BabyDDS was born, so MrDDS and I were enjoying a night on the town. I found Jeremy's bar and he gave us a couple of daiquiri's, we talked a little bit, but he was busy, so we eased on down the street. Well, a couple of hours later, I was drunk and needed to pee. Jeremy's place didn't have a public restroom, but he let me use the employee's restroom. Then, of course, I hit him up for more free daiquiri. By that time, MrDDS was well and truly ticked off--and worried that I'd fall asleep as soon as we got back to the hotel room. Jeremy gave him some words of encouragement in that regard--something to the effect of "if she passes out, just roll her over." So I was feeling pretty silly the next day--the stereotypical suburban professional middle-aged mom, getting sloshed on Bourbon Street while at a convention--an MrDDS tells me about his conversation with Jeremy while I was in the bathroom. Seems Jeremy told him something to the effect that I was really cool for an older chick and that I was funny and that he enjoyed talking to me on the internet. OK, so I wasn't out picking up college guys, but made me feel better--about being a suburban, middle-aged mom--if not stereotypical.

My brother gave me this title: Everlasting, Once and Future Queen Bitch Goddess of the Known Universe and Anything Else You Dream Up.

I'll try being nicer if you'll try being smarter.
