"Popener Keychain?"

You are the first person I know of to have it on a keychain. Very clever. Have Popener, will travel. I'm glad you still enjoy it. Since the Catholic Church has a new Pope, maybe a Pohn Paul II Popener is worth something as a collectors' item? Probably not, since I have gifted one to select of my favorite people for years now -- there are undoubtedly too many out there to gain any value other than sentimental.
The news of Jeremy has caused many to consider the odd connections that can form between people who have never met each other, yet have exchanged correspondence (public or private) for a long time (many years, in the case of this board). I have thought about that, too. I hope you know that the fact you have a Popener signifies you are one of my "Significant Strangers" -- even though it's been a long time since we corresponded -- or even posted on the board for that matter. RT and I exchanged many meaningful emails, as well, and I still will read his posts first. Hep, too.
I made a conscious decision to leave the board a long time ago, but to my surprise after a year or so I found myself dropping by again to check in on my old acquaintances. I even added the bookmark back to my faves. Funny that it took Jeremy's death to get me over my reticence to step back into these waters. You, too, it seems.
