Let me get this straight. A team beats it's instate rival for the 4th time in a row, AT HOME, and the defeated team, with feelings and pride hurt and reeling, says that the head coach cannot go to the HOME fans and flash 4 fingers? Give me a #badword#ing break!!! This was not a taunt, and everyone damn well knows it!! The bama faithful are reeling right now because their program and leadership is in the cellar with no signs of immediate recovery. Roles reversed (and they very well have been), the Bama fans are the world's best at beating their chests, waving fingers, down-talking, etc. I personally think that a head coach going on a TV program and insulting a rival school is so far below the "class" level of celebrating a huge win with your HOME fans that this shouldn't even be an argument. And UA has had not 1, but 2 coaches do this ("cow college" and "that school down the road", if you need to be reminded). And I need not remind you of the blind, Jim Jones-type buy in of the vast majority of the fan base to these statements. Sure, after we whipped Fran's ass, it seemed cheap and petty. I dare you to turn back time and ask the "cheap and petty" crowd their opinion prior to kickoff.
The fact is, the shoe is on the other foot, and it ain't real comfortable, is it?
