and formal adoption of Webmaster's "Petition To Kiss Wayne's Ass."
WHEREAS the undefeated 2004 Auburn football team was deserving of place in the BCS Championship Game;
WHEREAS that same undefeated 2004 Auburn team was denied its place due to the fact that pollsters refused to elevate them over Oklahoma in the last weeks of the season, despite Auburn's 8 point road victory over the 6-5 instate archrival and 38-28 victory over 9-3 Tennessee in the SECCG;
WHEREAS among the reasons proferred for the denial of Auburn's rightful place in the BCS Championship game after the 2004 season was the fact that Oklahoma had been ranked ahead of them and Oklahoma was also undefeated;
WHEREAS Florida entered the last two weeks of the season with one loss ranked behind Michigan, a BCS conference team also with one loss;
WHEREAS Florida's victories in its last 2 games of the regular season were a 7 point win on the road over the 6-6 instate archrival and a 38-28 victory over 10-3 Arkansas in the SECCG;
WHEREAS Florida jumped Michigan in 2006 while Auburn lost ground to Oklahoma in 2004;
WHEREAS it is the opinion of this writer and others that Florida's overtaking of Michigan in 2006 would never have occurred absent the plain injustice to Auburn in 2004 and is a transparent effort to redress prior discrimination against Auburn and the SEC;
LET IT BE hereby RESOLVED that OFFICIAL BOARD POLICY ("OBP") of Wayne's Auburn Board ("WAB") is that all references on WAB to the BCS Championship Game in Glendale, Arizona on January 8, 2007 be set forth as follows: "Affirmative Action Bowl"* or "AAB."
LET IT BE further RESOLVED that OBP recognizes that the webmaster of WAB personally does not care about the Affirmative Action Bowl*; that everyone can kiss his ass; and that the WAB general counsel will authorize the filing of an amicus brief from the WAB in support of said webmaster's "Petition to Kiss Wayne's Ass." display.pl?page=hof&read=671166.
This proposed RESOLUTION is now open to debate, discussion, amendment, and possible adoption pursuant to Hobbes' Rules of Disorder.
*If the RESOLUTION passes AUBIGJOE may refer to is as "AFFIRMATIVE ACTION BOWL."
