But to plagarize from one of my favorite sources:
Forgive me if I do not consider Florida's jumping of Michigan to be justice for Auburn not jumping Oklahoma.
I am happy for the Gators and wish them well, but they could just as easily have 2-3 losses this year. I think they are certainly as deserving as Michigan -- probably more -- but the case is far from clear to me. And I can't blame Michigan fans for being pissed about being jumped first by a team that beat ND impressively -- but not as impressively as did Michigan (the Mich./ND game was in South Bend) and then by a team that quite nearly lost to both S. Carolina at home and Vandy on the road after they beat by 10 a team that lost to So. Cal by 36 (and, yes, I realize there is little resemblance from Game 1 to Game 13 for Arky).
The fact that UF's 38-28 win over a 10-2 Arky is the basis for recognizing the Gators superiority over Michigan, while Auburn's 38-28 win over a 9-2 Tennessee two years ago was solid proof of Auburn's status a third fiddle is not lost on me either.
But none of this stuff makes sense, which is probably why I like it so much.
