I was 12 when Bill Newton blocked two punts in 1972 and 22 when Bo went over the top 10 years later. In between I lived through he#% in Homewood/Bammerham through high school and watched Doug Barfield's undermanned teams the four falls I spent in the student section. There is no malady too great and no losing streak too long for the bammer nation. Two hands, ten toes, and a head butt from now I still won't feel sorry for them. I will still gleefully display the pride I stubbornly displayed in the 70s. Fork 'em and feed 'em fishheads. My Auburn flag is flying tonight like it has been for 40+ years, and I'll rub it in like 60 grit sandpaper as long as I can.
