"Sobertiger has arisen from sleep......"

....and is in a fire and brimstone mood. The 1st quarter of last year's Iron Bowl was a wonderful thing to watch. A complete domination of the Tide such as we had not enjoyed since 1957. However, not unlike Alabama's joy of dominating Florida last year was totally ruined by Shula's inexplicable decision to keep Tommy Prothro and the rest of his 1st string in a game that was long over (a decision by the way that has mortally wounded the Tide to this day and ultimately Shula's tenure at uat), my happiness over a great win quickly subsided. When our mercenary head coach thrust his unsportsmanlike hand in the air to gloat over our victory, everything about the win and the state of our program became a white sepulchre. I have never been so embarrassed to be an Auburn fan. I apologized profusely to my Alabama friends and reminded them again why I have never accepted Tommy Tuberville as our coach since the day of his incredulous press conference, 2 weeks after promising his Ole Miss players that he would never leave them. I have been ashamed of how most of the Auburn family has found this classless act to be somehow amusing and have added to our shame by purchasing t-shirts, etc. permanently recording this low point in Auburn history. Have any of my Auburn brethren stopped to ask themselves amongst this shabby glee if Shug Jordan would have ever done or condoned such behavior? Pat Dye? John Heisman? The answer is easy and obvious - Of Course Not. Since Coach No-Class rubbed our chief rival's face in it, we have been embarrassed by Wisconsin, Arkansas, and Georgia; yes we beat quality LSU and Florida teams at home, but does anyone seriously believe we would have won those games on the road?!? The other wins against the cast of characters we've called "opponents" over the last 3 years are not worth discussing. When we lose we get all the right words, but nothing behind them - the latest example being ctt and "The World's Greatest Offensive Coordinator" subtly trying to blame the loss on Brandon Cox's execution, when it was their own stupid insistence on throwing every other down when Cox was hurt on the first play from scrimmage (a pass, by the way)! We NEVER TRIED TO RUN the ball in the first half against Georgia! Please review the tape if you believe me not! And a few token hand offs here or there is NOT trying to run the ball. A side note - one would hope that ctt could learn from Mark Richt, who in a gesture of class ctt knows nothing about, called off the Dawgs when he could have easily made it 44-15. Folks, when your Sobertiger sees the Auburn helmet on the field of battle, his deep inner hard-drive immediately kicks in and the fate of our football team becomes all that matters. However, when the smoke clears and I see what has become of the totality of Auburn football during this snake-oil salesman's reign, I must tell you that I shed no tears at our losses. For each loss is one step closer to ridding ourselves of the man who has given us parents the unpleasant job of explaining that they should NEVER do what our coach did/does. He has dissolved the Auburn/Alabama rivalry back to a low point, after it had risen to the level it should have in 2004, when the bammers realized the real bad guys were north of the border. He has added smoke to our entrance, and the name "Auburn" to the front of our jerseys (I suppose we forget who we are from time to time) and kept the tiny terry "innovation" of adding the players names to the back of the jerseys. He has added - or at best done nothing about - such "upgrades to the Jordan-Hare experience" like the charmingly Satanic Ozzy Osbourne's demonic laugh being blasted through the air for all the little up and coming 8 year old Tigers to enjoy. And yet it is the Auburn family dressed up like Tennessee fans (another ctt "improvement") who say not a word about this whole sorry scene as long as the W's outweigh the L's. Auburn needs a major wake-up call. I can think of nothing better than a one-way ticket to a school with a tradition ctt can appreciate - The University of Miami - to catalyze Auburn's sobering up process. I predict the bammers will beat us this year, which will hopefully get our coach's agent on the phone to South Florida. Sobertiger

Run the ball; Stop the run. 3 things happen on a pass play and 2 of them are VERY bad.
