That is what is required in such seasons. Do not get distracted by formulas or comlplex reasonings about what might be advantagious for Auburn if all of these things fall into place. These must be brushed away and ignored and the focus must be beating bama and only beating bama.
BCS, potential rankings, power ratings all are lighter than a dream.
Beating Bama is all that matters. By as many points as possible. As many years in a row as possible.
Other matters are for newspapers and for the moment. Beating Bama is the meat and potatoes of the soul.
It is lasting and cumulative and America is a better place every time it is done.
