"Guillion wants to come back"

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (FP) - Former Alabama backup quarterback, Mark Guillon, who quit the team in October, said today that he wants to rejoin the team for the final three games.
"I had my reasons at the time," Guillon said. "But when I saw JP sprain his ankle and leave the game, I knew I should have been the one to replace him."
Guillon was clearly disturbed by watching freshman Jimmy Barnes taking playing time that should have been his. "If that hunchback goon can complete seven passes with one touchdown, think what I could do. I mean, my god, when he ran the forty, I saw Coach Rader stop the watch when it hit eight seconds. I don't think he ever finished"
Quitting the team was a mistake that Guillon now blames on Shula. "Why didn't he tell me that JP might get hurt? That's something I didn't think about and it's the coach's responsibility to keep me informed."
Guillon went on to say that he overlooked the fact that a JP injury was probably inevitable considering the offensive line play. "It's not like they can pass block," Guillon said. "Chris Capps is a good guy and all, but my bowels move faster than he does."
Guillon mentioned other reasons why quitting was a mistake. "The chicks don't dig me as much as they did when I was a player," he said wistfully.  "The oral action has pretty much dried up."
Guillon also said that quitting had caused him financial concerns. "I don't get free food anymore. I'm spending more time at the Waffle House than I really care to. Face it, the food there blows."
Guillon said he still holds hope for a pro career. "I'm going to give Brodie a call and see if they need any help up there in KC. I'm not that eager to be fourth string, but I'm sure I can work my way up through injury. Besides, a paycheck would be pretty cool right now."
