a forward lateral (Utah Shuffle) is an incomplete pass. (underhand or overhand). Ironicaly Meyer coached at Utah that invented that play years ago.
but within this whole issue, here is ......my take is that if it was called incomplete, the Gator kicker could have made the kick. probably would have. that doesn't mean the Gators win the game. that call did not win the game for Auburn and it did not cost the Gators the game.
Coach Tuberville did one helluva job coaching in the 2nd half. There is a reason that he won 19 of 20 or whatever in the SEC (maybe 21 of 23 now?). He deserves some credit here. It didn't come down to one play. Meyer is better than a lot expected and prepared his team well. There were several plays that have been mentioned that were key.
I do know that it is a good thing that the plane ride to UL did not cost AU a very good coach. Just look at the changes made in basketball, ladies basketball and baseball and you can see how well the coaching changes have worked. surprising the powers that be didn't run off the swimming staff. Sorry, Mr Lowder, but Tuberville seems to be "The Man" now.
