We have a different solution, however. We are going on vacation. We have a second home near Del Mar with a view of the Pacific. It is quite the upgrade over the second we used to own in the Tahoe area. The nouveau riche doctors and lawyers flooding into the Reno/Tahoe area made vacationing there nearly unbearable. The good news was that these status seekers drove up real estate prices. We really fleeced the professional couple that bought our property: haughty and henpecked, we nicknamed them.
We are happy in the paradise that is the San Diego area. We already have forgotten more than most of you know about restaurants in the area, so kindly keep any recommendations to yourself. We will show the same courtesy when the rabble asks the board which is the best fern bar on the panhandle.
