...about the president. Some people agree with her and some don't (and most couldn't care less). But, she and other "free speech" wannabes still think the First Amendment means freedom of speech without consequences. She truly believes that people reacting to her comments is a violation of her rights. She's wrong. Regardless of whether one agrees with her comments, her beliefs about the First Amendment are WAY off base. And, that is the crux of the Dixie Chicks' situation. They want speech/expression without consequence. Sorry but that's not the right. Other people have the First Amendment right to disagree and express that disagreement by boycotts, destroying their CDs, etc.
