Terribly busy week at work, I have certainly missed the MudDuck. Please forgive me for I cannot resist commenting on our baby Bowden. The man's major failing was having the AUdacity (sorry couldn't help it) to believe that he could reinvent football. To believe that you could personally change football from a game of physical annihilation to a game of chess like precision, controlled by a "mastermind" (term used very loosely) was sheer lunacy. Tot outsmarted himself into thinking there was a better way and that he had found it. Add to that the fact that he could not or would not recruit and we have some of the darkest days on the plains. Hat's off to players that had character, such as Dameyune Craig possesed, that came to Auburn and played their guts out and prevented the embarrassment from being worse.
