indicates we are even if not slightly ahead with a 13-12 mark in favor of auburn.
So you 35 and under crowd might not fully appreciate that fact or the value of this game to Auburn.
Until I was 30 I could count on one hand and remember every AU win onver Bama in my experience, and there were not that many of them. (5)
We won in 1962. We then lost 6 in a row.
We won in 1969, 70 and 72. We then lost 10 in a row.
In 1982 we won and began a stretch of real parity that was heretofore unknown in my life.
So such success against uat is a brighter jewel and more beautiful to behold for those of us 35 and older.
And playing our home games in our own stadium w/o the mockery of having to travel to "neutral" Legiod Field is a sweetness that is not diminished even on those occasions when we lose.
So -- it's BEAT BAMA week -- WAR EAGLE!!
