"Depends on what you want ...."

::::>Of course.  So does what they had for dinner and whether they are getting regular sex.  Is it fair?  Of course not.   Having voters at all is a joke.  Tub is getting some coverage I guess but my point is complaining about what Lou (one more national championship to his name than Tubs) Holtz says is ineffective.

I think Lou is a lightning rod for frustration because, among other things, he is so terrible on the air. His bias towards Notre Dame and others is palpable. His analysis is not particularly insightful. I don't attribute this to lack of knowledge. It may simply be that he and the camera are not compatible. Lou makes me and many others miss the annoying Trev Alberts. Lou makes Mark May worse because now, rather than bantering with a peer who can give as well as get, Mark May's role is to put a verbal whupass on an elderly man who has trouble staying awake as College Game Day winds down at night. This has diminished the quality of ESPN's show (and yes I know that Trev was fired for failing to show up for work).

Holtz may have a national championship, but Tuberville is the more accomplished SEC coach by a significant distance.

It may have been a tactical error to call out Lou (note that Tuberville's comments were limited to Lou's lack of success in the SEC, a conference that Holtz had deemed weak on the air before Tuberville made his statement), but Tubs has a good argument here. I wish he had done a better job of defending it on the Dan Patrick show.
