The view of Iraq in the micro environment of a community like you had might indeed look good but putting a government together to fend off all the possible problems . . still looks to be building . . . therefore all of the good you see and that is not reported could come crashing down. That is no reason not to report it certainly . . . the battle will be won in the things you describe . . . if anything the reporters are not reporting from the front lines. Quagmire suggest something static . . . fragile and dynamic is more of my sense of the situation overall . . . it is there for the Iraqis to seize.
