"We finally saw Star Wars Ep. 3 this weekend...."

It sucked. Royally and unmistakably sucked. It was the final nail in the coffin for my admiration of the original trilogy. I now wish I had not gotten the boxed set for Christmas, because I cannot imagine ever watching the original trilogy again. Scratch that, at least I got to watch them one last time before they were completely and utterly ruined by watching Episode III. Those light saber battles were Boring. I won't go throught the litany of disappointing storylines that have already been covered, but here are just a few things that have been tossing about in my head as I angrily curse the day that George Lucas decided to milk some more cash out of his Star Wars titles: 1) General Greivous. What the Hell was that? A "Robot General" was dumb enough, but he had some type of organic heart? Spare me. 2) THIS was the so-called "Clone Wars"?? 3) Apparently the primary defense move in a Jedi battle is to cut off the limbs of your opponent. I thought it was supposed to be such symmetry that Luke and his father both had mechanical hands, but pretty much any Jedi that has fought a light saber battle should have lost a limb or two. Oh yeah, and it turns out Darth Vader had TWO mechanical hands, so the symmetry is lost. 4) Speaking of ol' Darth, his first words as the helmeted evil man were to ask about Padme? All I can say is "Noooooooooooooooo". Okay there was one good thing in Ep. III that helped me sleep a little better. C3PO gets a memory wipe. Whew. I thought it was stupid in Ep. I when Threepio turned out to be a robot kit that Anakin put together, but it was really bugging me that in Ep. IV he would not recognize Tatooine or the name "Skywalker". At least we cleared up THAT little problem.
