It is not necessary to conclude that either Rouzie, the Bear, or my friend is lying. It is possible for the assistants to be forbidden from fraternizing with Logan while Logan has access to the program. I have never seen anything that would indicate that Logan was "cut off" from the program (until the action taken as a reult of the most recent NCAA investigation). The article you linked does not say that. It says that Rouzie remembers the Bear threatening to fire assistants for getting too close to Logan. There could be quite a few reasons for that rule. It is pretty easy to know the truth about Logan's access to the program. He is a long time booster who was not officially banned from the program until it was too late to save Bama's ass.
Rouzie may be lying about what the Bear said, or he may be telling the truth, but there are plenty of people and probably quite a bit of paper to prove or disprove Logan's access to the program over the years.
