And I'm not trying to cause trouble here, but when you say that you don't agree with everything on the evolutionist side, I would just caution against not agreeing with the science. There is a philosophical side to the debate to be sure, but the TOE is science. My belief is that the TOE is in one of those categories that we should accept, like the Theory of Gravity and all that. Science has been wrong before, and it's not infallible, but Scientific Theory is about as good as you can get to reasonable surety (outside of a math problem). Now, the interpretations of the TOE are wide open, and I would agree with you that I probably don't interpret the ramifications of the TOE the same way Wayne does, although he presents his points well. This isn't really directed at you. Part of my need to follow up here is my newfound belief that the Christian community needs to step back and rethink the way it approaches questions of science. I think it's very important because failure to do so not only makes the faith look foolish but also can cause crises of faith where none should exist in the first place.
