AU football signees of 2001.  Made for some interesting reading.  Here is [my] summary:

Steve Bouldin-injured, got married, left Auburn, never contributed.  Went to JaxState to play bball, never did.

Taylor Bourgeois-played in five games as a redshirt freshman, was sidelined by a shoulder injury from which he never recovered.  Forced to give up football, stayed at Auburn.

Silas Daniels-resignee in 2001 after one year at Valley Forge Military Academy.  Has been limited by injuries

Wayne Dickens-has contributed for three seasons on defensive line, will be a redshirt senior in 2005.

Dee Durham-never contributed due to off-field issues; transferred to Tuskeegee, is starting cornerback for the Golden Tigers with one more year of eligibility there.

Antwarn Franklin-did not qualify academically, enrolled and became eligible, was dismissed for violation of team rules, left Auburn and enrolled at Miles College, but left there as well and is working in Bham.

Derrick Graves-a resignee, had to return to high school to retake a ninth grade English class before he could enroll at Auburn; overcame an extremely difficult home situation, played every year at Auburn at linebacker

Corey Hicks-a resignee who did not qualify academically, then was dismissed for violations of team rules.  Never played or attended college.

Pedro Holliday-never qualified academically, played two seasons at Southwest Mississippi Community College, and two at Middle Tennessee State as wide receiver and kickoff return specialist

Tavoris Horton-never qualified academically, played outside linebacker at Div.1-AA Gardner-Webb and is a pro prospect

David Irons, Jr.-signed but did not qualify, played cornerback for Butler County Community College for one season, sat out last year after surgery, expected to play this year as a senior for Auburn, may get an extra year of eligibility under NCAA hardship status rules

Brandon Jacobs-signed, did not qualify, played two seasons at Coffeyville Community College, and as a junior at Auburn, transferred to 1-AA Southern Illinois as a senior running back, a pro prospect at tight end

Danny Lindsey-a major contributer for four seasons at center and guard, a pro prospect

Rodney Mars-never qualified academically, attended Hargrave Military Academy and Independence Community College where he played briefly and was not resigned, was recruited by other Div. I schools but had academic issues

Anthony Mix-re-signed after one year at Hargrave, has played well at tight end with variety of injuries, returns as a senior in 2005

Jay Ratliff-defensive end and tackle, has contributed well despite injuries, a pro prospect

Carlos Rogers-re-signed after a year at Hargrave Military Academy, one of the top defensive backs in AU history

Steven Ross-lineman with one more year of eligibility

Lemarcus Rowell-did not play because of mistake by NCAA Clearinghouse that declared him ineligible.  Played linebacker for one year, was arrested, suspended, and transferred to Itawamba Community College, returned to Auburn in 2004, but then transferred to Jacksonville State.  Has one more season of eligibility

Forrest Tucker-never qualified academically, transferred to Fork Union Prep, then Fort Scott Community College, then to Div. II Newberry College and flunked out

Jake Slaughter-has played each year at fullback and has one more year of eligibility

David Walker-was dismissed from Auburn for violation of team rules, now attends University of Iowa and will be a senior, playing at offensive guard in 2005

Cooper Wallace-has played each year and will return next year as redshirt senior at tight end

Jamaal Whyce-was not resigned after he failed to qualify and spent one year at Hargrave Military Academy at defensive tackle.  Later transferred to Butler County Community College and to Marshall where he finished last year

Antarrious Williams-has contributed well as outside linebacker and has one more year of eligibility

Carnell Williams-one of the best running backs in the history of AuBuRunning Back U.

Travis Williams-has played very well at linebacker and has one more season of eligibility

Horace Willis-was limited at Auburn due to injuries, signed as cornerback free agent by the Minnesota Vikings and played with the RheinFire in NFL Europe
