well, we lost two 4 star recurits today, one to florida and the other to ole miss. all in all, after a 13-0 season, we need some help to have a top 15 class, not exactly a good job (assuming the 3star and 2 star players we have are indeed rated correctly and not under rated.)
just a few years ago. Brandon Jacobs. A can't miss. And the recruitniks were right: when he left Auburn, he wasn't missed.
Brandon was last seen on the Southern Illinois campus calling the the SIU coaching staff racists for having him ride the pine.
Look, I know that recruiting is the life blood of college football, but my God think about these guys who are rating the players. They're just an average recruitnik, who, in the old days, had access to a mimeograph machine (think Forrest Davis and the City of Birmingham Parks and Recreation Board) and in the new age has access to a nice serve (think Gene Swindall). They're no smarter than the average recruitnik. And no less retarded.
