Here are God's Top 8 (which coincidentally indicates that God is for an 8 team playoff)
#1 Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Obviously, this is a reference to a team with an apathetic fan base. There are plenty to choose from, but since God is Southern, I'm betting it's Vanderbilt.
#2 Blessed are the meek: for they shall posses the land. This is obviously AU since AU suxes.
#3 Blessed are they who mourn: for they shall be comforted. This is obviously Notre Dame.
#4 Blessed are they that hunger and thirst after justice: for they shall have their fill. Definitely Cal.
#5 Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy. AU could've been here, too for calling off the dogs all year. UT could be here for allowing AU to win twice. But, I'm going with UTEP who gave Mike Price the second chance he was looking for.
#6 Blessed are the clean of heart: for they shall see God. I would've put Alabama here, but this year, the spot goes to Ohio State
#7 Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God. Based on Bob Stoop's actions this year, Oklahoma wins this one going away.
#8 Blessed are they that suffer persecution for justice' sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Definitely Alabama, and if you don't believe that, then Tommy Gallion wants your deposition.
