I now think and agree with more energy that AU is getting screwed and I should do something about it. I am not sure what but I did mail the addys that wayne put up. I think something is rotten in Denmark.
Here is my note.
Good morning gentlemen –
My brief note comes to you in review of the past few weeks of events surrounding my alma mater of which you are in employ.
I have felt that this year’s people involved in AU Athletics have handled themselves admirably and with clarity towards the commonwealth of AUDdom.
The email is in regards to the poor and unfair treatment that the football team’s accomplishments have received in the press, BCS and ESPN in particular.
I would hope that should the Tigers be fortunate enough to beat VaTech that all bonuses in fulfillment for winning the MNC for the coaching staff be paid.
Should the players along with the coaches be good enough to beat the Hokies I feel that the Tigers claim to MNC is as great as any of the victor of the Orange Bowl.
Auburn University should award this special team their own National Championship Award for this special season of and claim it in the record books. The legitimacy is as strong as any others should we beat VaTech. Perhaps this BCS turmoil will bring change – perhaps and more likely it will not. But with way I will always cherish this season as a fan and remember 17.23.24 and William’s smile as he popped up and down on the sidelines.
