Wonderful post, Top Cat! So, you think that you had it rough while at Auburn (besides your parents not picking up their fair share of your expenses!) Let me tell you something young'un! When I went to Auburn in the fall of 1950, we lost 6-0 to Southeast Louisiana!
Shug was to come in a year or so later and resurrect the program, but, right away, we went on probation for something. Think it was for the Sewell brothers giving clothing to some of the players. Poor guys. They needed some suits!! Anyway, when I graduated in 1954, we were finally able to play in a bowl game, I believe.
But, I agree with you. I am mighty proud of Tommy Tubberville and what he has done at Auburn. And, as your dad, I am mighty proud of you!!
