"Things I have learned lately:"

If we truly wish to be the dominant conference we might consider some of the following as a conference:

  1. We need to all schedule difficult out-of-conference foes.
  2. We need to pull for, not against, our fellow conference members whenever we are discussing out of conference competition.  This includes when doing so will benefit our most hated rivals.  This includes not cheering when we hear someone out of conference is beating the bejesus out of our most hated rivals.  I know it is going to be difficult, but we must behave like adults to outsiders, at least.
  3. We need to impress this same philosophy upon SEC sports writers and SEC coaches.  We need to positively lobby those who we can, and avoid whining.  The folks @ ESPN are only going to give us love when it affects their ratings, so we need to affect their ratings with lots of love all the time.  It's all about the benjamins, baby.
  4. We need to be able to use someone like Paul Finebaum so that he is a force for good, not evil.  This includes giving lots of love to Auburn, and no real hate for Bama when we call-if any of y'all know anyone who calls him or emails him.  Make him impotent to hurt us, at the very least.
  5. I can't think of anything else right now but I hope this doesn't sound too paranoid, even if it is.
