as we drove out of Oxford last night after the game. They were complimentary of what Tuberville had said -- that he would always be grateful for Mississippi giving him his first head coaching job; that Cutcliff had done a great job; that the additions to the facilities at Ole Miss were very impressive, etc. They did say that they wished he had left under different circumstances, but that was what he decided to do. If Tuberville said anything to the effect that Auburn should have beaten Ole Miss by 40, then I suspect it was a comment taken out of context. Ole Miss fans are rightfully proud of their University, Oxford, and their traditions. Tuberville's leaving was a tough blow for them. Some haven't gotten over it, and just like with a lot of breakups,words spoken are often twisted into something else than was meant. I have an idea that this "we should have beaten them by 40" issue has such a history.
