that would be admitting that there is a discrepency in officiating, which would, by default, mean that some crews are better than others. Assigning the not-so-good crews to a game would be the same as the SEC admitting that that particular game is of no importance when, in actuality, all games are of the same importance.
Of course some crews are better than others. Some posters are better than others. That's why we have the HOF so the entire world can see who the better posters are. All of them. Every single one of them. It's a way to reward all of you smarty pants who somehow get selected.
If there was no recognition of excellence, then we might as well be in a socialist country. "This isn't Russia. Is this Russia? This isn't Russia."
