"Your Sobertiger has not joined the Euphoria......"

Hello, dear friends. It has been many moons since your Sobertiger has shared his words of wisdom at this heralded Board of boards. Wandering the earth in search of food for the Mrs. and 3 Small Sobertigers takes most of my time. However, I have been paying attention to my Tigers. Sadly, Things are not quite as Wonderful as our many faced and tounged Head Coach and his Pollyanna, orange-clad believers in the Auburn family (as well as the mostly-mindless press) would have us believe. We are actually 2-0, with 4 practice game wins. LSU was a good win, but it very easily could have been an L. Tennessee was a great win; yet, if Courtney Taylor does not strip the ball from the UT defensive back, that would have been a UT touchdown and we would have been looking at a VERY different ballgame. We may have won anyway, but the fact remains that the pass that Taylor saved and turned into a first down looked hauntingly like the innumerable Defensive TDs thrown by Stan White during the painful 1992 campaign; the most infamous of which was uat's first points of Pat Dye's last game, a pass in that case where both we and they had our hands on the ball, but the evil "they" took it home to paydirt. The amazingly overlooked reality is that we are STILL NOT getting the ball in the hands of our best 2 players - Carnell and Ronnie - anywhere CLOSE to enough. Ronnie Brown ran the ball a grand total of SEVEN times against LSU - and we wonder why it was such a nail-biter. Carnell's "Heisman Hunt" is a complete joke; one would think that Jason Campbell was our Heisman candidate based on who has been given the responsibility of offensive production. We are living by the pass and we will surely die by that same idiotic passing scheme. Just like last year, our defense is great. Just like last year, our special teams won't beat us, and might even get us a win this go-round. And just like last year, our unbalanced Head Coach and "new genius offensive coordinator" Borges is running a "balanced" offense. What did uat's 85% run-the-ball approach against "a thousand-in-the-box/we'll dare them to run and make them beat us with the pass" Kentucky get them? A 45 point blowout. What did Nebraska's "brilliant NFL-Super Bowl coach" with his stupid zillion wide-outs get them?!?!?!?!?!??!? The WORST LOSS IN THE 115 YEAR HISTORY OF THE UNIVERSITY OF NEBRASKA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! CTT can recruit `em; he just can't coach `em. I expect 8-3 best with much hand-wringing over what went wrong. Sobertiger
