"Re: Brodie Croyle: "
|
|
What exactly did Croyle bring to the package?
Leadership? He is 6-9 as a starter.
Lineage? His last name will be mentioned as one the greats when the history of Southern Football is written.
Good looks? He no doubt has the coveted "Abercrombie & Fitch" casual style to his being.
Moral character? Without question he is an outstanding member of the Crimson Tide family.
Fearless competitor? No doubt.
Great QB? 2.5 years of promises with little or no results.
With all due respect to Brodie Croyle, I don't think that Alabama would have been in a significant different position this season than if Croyle wasn't injured. No doubt, the games with Arkansas and USC would've been closer. But the problem isn't the loss of Croyle. The problem is, Alabama has a clown for a coach. The sooner they realize this, the better off they will be.
