Seems like this is basically what was said...
Kerry: The war in Iraq was mishandled.
Bush: You voted to go to war.
Kerry: Because you showed us alarming intelligence that was false. You were dishonest.
Bush. I got the same information you did. Made a decision on it, because Saddam was a threat.
Kerry: Saddam was weakening.
Bush: No he wasn't. How many resolutions had the UN passed? None worked. Besides, he was trying to proliferate the production of WMD's. In a post 9/11 society, you can't wait around for the enemy to get ready. You have to be proactive.
Kerry: If you're concerned about WMD's, why don't you go after bigger fish than Saddam? Like North Korea?
Bush: Because North Korea isn't connected to the terrorist threat against America. And my job is to keep America safe.
Kerry: The 9/11 Commission said there was no link between Saddam and Al-Queda.
Bush: Even so, Saddam was a threat to world peace.
Kerry: Agreed. But was this the best way to go about removing him from power? We burned a lot of bridges for this.
Bush: Given the information we knew at the time, and conducting ourselves with a post 9/11 mindset, it was the only decision I could have made.
Kerry: But, you realize that it was a mistake.
Bush: No, it was not a mistake.
Kerry: The US Armed Forces are stretched too thin.
Bush: No, they're not.
Kerry: Then why didn't the US take out bin Laden when we had the chance? If we aren't stretched too thing, why did you task some other government to do the job, and then ultimately fail?
Bush: We haven't failed. 75% of his terror network has been brought to justice.
Kerry: Saddam was less important than bin Laden, yet you have the majority of our troops in Iraq. Not Afghanistan, where know bin Laden is located.
Bush: It takes that many troops to get the job done. We have the means to fight on both fronts.
Kerry: No, we don't. There's a backdoor draft going on.
Bush: To pull out of Iraq would be devestating.
Kerry: You getting us into Iraq was devestating.
Bush: Better that than to allow the terror network to flourish.
Kerry: The money spent on this war could've been spent at home. See, this is what I'm getting at...
