Our agressive patrolling is causing the surrounding villagers to keep the mujahedin out of their towns, and at times passing accurate information to us, that results in a huge boom at the safehouses inside the city of Fallujah. They are more afraid of us than the insurgents, and our mere show of force is doing wonders. And yes, the Iraqi people still want us out, but they want us to take the mujahedin with us And communication is easy with these people, if they wont follow instructions, chamber a round...and all of the sudden they understand every word you say They still shoot 122mm rockets, and mortars at us....it gets annoying at times, but it is getting less and less frequent everytime we go outside the wire and patrol the hell out of the place.
