we took 6 mortar rounds yesterday, but we watched them hit about 2,000 meters south of the perimeter The insurgents shoot about as good as Freddie Kitchens throws I'm still in Al Taqaddum, waiting for my ride into the big fight, but it is yet to come. It's boring around here All I do here is eat mass quantities of catered food, then sleep till it gets dark and then we go sit outside and look at the city lights of Fallujah off in the distance, with the occasional barrage of tracers flying in that area. The Marines on their way home from Fallujah say they insurgents know the next rotation is here, and will probably pound on us pretty hard the first few days to welcome us Finally, some action hehehehe. The first thing I noticed about this place is....it looks nothing like it does on TV....Camp Rhino is just down the road, and all it is made up of is about 10 tents The isurgents did manage to blow the bridge from here to Fallujah 2 nights ago, so now all the convoys have to re-route the 8 mile drive to Fallujah, all they way into a 4 hour ride that has to go to Ramadi before heading back east to Fallujah or Bagdhad. Well, I was just checking back in on the Mudduck. I'll post as regular as I can. They take down the internet every time someone gets hit though, so that the families wont be notified before they are notified, if ya know what I mean. Our choppers are supposed to be here at 2200 tonight, so maybe we'll get outta here today. it's only 0815 here local time, so I figure I'll go watch my portable DVD player till its lunch time, come back up here get fat and happy, then go back to watch another DVD and take a nap....life is rough on the air base Till next time, ya'll take care, and pray I dont die of boredom before I get to Fallujah
