"The public is always wrong--was it Cornelius "

Vanderbilt who responded in that way to questions about the wisdom of some of his contra-market investment moves? It frankly astonishes me that the media numbnuts, much to the delight of democrat detractors of the present administration, yea, verily with their fomenting cooperation, manage to keep the Iraqui prisoner abuse 'controversy' in the public eye day after day.Sheesh. Since when was war polite? How idiotic we must look the rest of the world to make a tar-baby issue out of this.
Was it not in the early 1900's that American soldiers slaughtered over 250,000 Filipino colonial men, women (after about a 100 soldier gangbang) and children under direction of "take no prisoners"? Did we not shoot them for sport? Was it not us who laid a few megatons of kickass on Hiroshima and Nagasaki which took out a civilian or two and passed out enough cancer to affect three generations? Was it the samurai warrior, almost in my lifetime, that lopped off heads of adversaries as easily as drinking a glass of water? Is it otherworld personalities that now fly airplanes into our commerce centers, distribute poison indiscriminately, strap powerful explosives to disciples, voluntary or no, and detonate them in large crowds and [simulate?] public beheading of our citizens while we focus on image concerns and hurt feelings?
How do you not have stupid behavior from the good-guys in war conditions. Dang, they don't even know who the bad guys are most of the time until they see their detached limbs through the smoke clearing from their suicidal devastation. I dare say most of those kids won't be chillin' to the same degree the rest of us will be at our memorial day barbecues. What say we get back to the business at hand so we can fix this situation and be on about protecting our own safety until some administration who is lulled by a year or two of low level threats decides to start cutting into national defense again.
Oh, and one thing more, Nancy Pelosi, you disgraceful, treasonous , everything-for-everybody dispicable heifer you, I'll pay for your damned ticket if you'll fly to Baghdad, assemble the troops at the airport, and tell them how incompetent this president is with regard to managing this war. Chances are somebody else can use your return stub.
Heaven help us--the"Court of public opinion" and the levels to which some will stoop to gain 15 minutes of media sunshine. God bless this great country of ours and deliver us from the evil within us.
