yesterday that some Dem. state legislator is trying to get the voting age in Cal lowered to 14. Fourteen! Now why would that be?
It's easy to be a Liberal. It requires no mental calisthenics. It's always someone else's fault and, more importantly, it's always someone else's money. Kind of sounds like most of the teenagers I know.
When you get older and you see the amount of tax you pay (income, sales, property, ad valorem, state, intangible, capital gains, social security, medicare, etc.), the lights come on (for some anyway) and there's a realization that it's not someone else's money. Bigger government doesn't seem like such a good idea at that point.
