is that one of the reasons Housel stated for his retirement next year is to give the new AD the opportunity to negotiate the upcoming licensing contracts, etc. that are coming due. In other words - let the new guy handle things that will affect his tenure. Yet the outgoing administration is going to hire the hoops coach, leaving the new AD with someone who's not "his guy". I think it clearly indicates that the coaches at AU aren't answerable to the AD, and that is not changing any time soon.
