Here's a post from Catchaser to TigerTeacher (a dem) on the alley.
There is no way in hell you will convince me that you believe that economics is first on your agenda versus our national security. If that is so, then I am beyond words or understanding. Surely you were just being glib.
No one, not even the most liberal of liberals could not realize that if we cannot secure our country and protect our citizens, then we as a nation will be defeated and destroyed. Do you actually think we can buy our peace over the long haul?
My God, does not the American public understand what we are up against. Will it take thousands of more deaths to bring this point home. If our citizens think like this and cannot see any further than their pocketbook, then we are in trouble. Jobs, economy and a decent livelhood are the backbone of any civilization, but defense from others must always take precedent.
How many times do we have to be punched before we began to realize that someone is intent on kicking our asses. Are we a nation of cowards and lacking in fortitude? This is what our enemies believe and have stated so many times.
Let us release the dogs of war on our enemy and then we can use the spoils to bring the world economy back in line. Someone has to lead in this world and it had better be the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA......unless you guys wish to bow to another. This damn universalism or what ever the hell they call it is bull####. While we all sing and hold hands, some #### is plotting to replace us in the pecking order. Remember, we are dealing with humans....and the track record is not good throughout history.
The 18 year old kid next door whom is too damn lazy, spoiled and ignorant to even pass his ACT or barely graduate from high school is telling me that he is not going to die for Bush's war.Is this what I and others will leave to protect and lead this civilization? He said his teacher told him that Bush could have known of 9/11 and that it was possibly all planned. Is this what our forefathers dies and sacrificed for? Are we going to have our asses jacked up by some rag headed extremist screaming to Allah as he whacks our heads off.
This kids ambition and understanding is his Dad buying him a new Dodge truck,(with a Hemi engine, of course) a four wheeler and helping him get a job so he can get an apartment and live with his girlfriend. I want to grab the stupid #### brain and shake him till he ####s all over himself. Unfortunately, many of our own so called citizens can see no further than their ####ing noses.
This #### pisses me off. Time to walk away for awhile. WE MUST WIN AT ALL COST AND DESTROY OUR ENEMY AND BRING THEM TO THEIR KNEES. I WILL MAKE PEACE WITH THEM WHEN THE FRONT SIGHT OF MY RIFLE IS SITTING ATOP THEIR HAIRY LIP.
Maybe I am living in the wrong generation?
