Top politicians and their families get favorable treatment. This should not come as a shock to anyone. I am confident that every single Democratic candidate has received some type of unfair, favorable treatment over the years.
It would be one thing if Bush were touting his military experience as a reason to vote for him. As far as I know, Bush does not typically try to garner political support based upon his stint in the Air National Guard.
