"Congrats are in order:"
|
To Bama's football team: despite our turnovers, penalties, Auburn special teams that are really really special, in the SpecialEd sense of the word and general sucki-ness, you managed to suck even more.
To MAC: for marrying well and for having the good sense to point out to us that if Tuberville is fired, the same group of buffoons who handled the FSU buyout/Tommy Tuberville/Terry Bowden/Bill Oliver/Cliff Ellis/TommyJoe Eagles/SonnySmith debacle would be in charge of replacing Tuberville. Who would dream that they could screw up not only the decison on whether to fire/retain, but the process of it. Whether he's fired, whether he's retained, somwhere somehow a goat is getting clusterf_cked in the process.
To Tub: For uniting the Auburn family. Whether an Auburn fan thinks you should be fired or retained or never hired to begin with, we all agree that the Trustees/Housel/Walker have screwed this up.
To LSU: for beating Ole Miss.
To Ole Miss's defense: for finally finding the directions to the Stadium.
To Bear's Boy: For showing what we all knew: you are smarter than bf or Irony Tusk.
To Ivory Tusk: for making one of the Admins. on this board look good. Modesty prevents from telling you who that cartoon character stuffed Tiger is but he predicted that it didn't matter whether you took the bet or not cause you wouldn't post again until the next time Auburn lost AND Bama won on the same weekend.
To Mike Gottfreid: for saying Tub was out no matter what, thus allowing my father-in-law to pull for Auburn with a clear conscience.
To Mike Gottfreid and Ron Franklin: for being the best in game annoucers. You always know the down and distance, you are very good at what is going on in the game. But outside the game---honestly, Mike, in your opinion, should any coach ever be fired? Is it possible that perhaps the great player you are hyping is not the best player to play that position? You do realize that not everyone can be above average, don't you?
To SwampGas: For seeing productivity in your firm jump considerably for Dec. 2003, Jan 2004 and the first week of Feb. 2004, only to revert to pre-Iron Bowl levels.
To Iggy: for making a bet with Bammerfan.
To V.I. Lennin: For knowing how to deal with despots and pretenders, despite being one yourself. Shooting the ruling cabal and their entire family, then chopping the bodies up before burning them and dumping them down a well and pouring lime over them is a bit extreme, but you don't see any od the Romanovs offering "opinion" and "advice" on ABC, now do you?
To Steve Spurrier: For going from most hated to most beloved coach in the SEC.
To Wayne: For running a great board.
To all of you: For missing me until Feb. 6th
To DDS: for policing the sensitivity police.
To DBamaC: For again winning the best Bama poster award.
To BIGJOE: At your age and size, and what with your broken ankle and all, I am amazed you were able to run and catch back up with the Tuberville Bandwagon.
To Tater: For finding the board again. And getting rid of those Rebel lurkers.
To Vito: For continuing not to post.
To RT: I hear President Walker is mailing you your T-Shirts and basketball tickets in the 4-H section. Sometime after Thanksgiving. Assuming nothing else comes up.
To Wallace Cooper: For winning the "Hey-did-you-know-that-Chris-Gray,-who-played-tackle-and-guard-with-the-Dolphins-and-Seahawks-was-a-tight-end-at-Auburn,-no-really,-he-did.-Really" Award.
To whoever made The Cat in the Hat movie: for proving that Chicken Run was not the worst kid's movie ever.
To Conchy Joe's: For your Hemmingway Daquiri's.
And last, but not least
To Auburn Tigers: For beating Bama for the third time in four years. War Eagle.
