"So I guess I have to throw in my .02 on it all...."

As some of you may or may not know, I have been on Tubby's case since 'Black Saturday' in which Tubs fielded a greatly unprepared team. In the two seasons since I cannot even count the times Auburn has come into a game unprepared. '02 Arkansas. '03 USC. '03 LSU. '03 UGA. Just to name a few. Auburn has talent. I'll go out on a limb and say they have more talent that UAT (simply b/c AU has the depth). Auburn should be winning 9 games a year with this talent, but somewhere along the line someone has to prepare these boys for a game. I feel that Tubs has proven uncapable of this task. Do I think he should be fired? Well, you're asking the wrong person. In my biased opinion, he never should have been hired. However can we really fire him after he has beaten the elephants two years in a row, both somewhat convincingly? Can we? Because we will all admit that the Iron Bowl is the biggest and most important game on our schedule. Tubs has won it for us 3/5, and now two in a row. Something that he said in his interview with ESPN struck me. He said that it's unfair to judge a coaching staff on one game, or even one season. He said that you had to look at the program as a whole. Well, let's take a trip down memory lane. AU 5 years ago VS. AU today. We are leaps and bounds ahead of where we were. It says something about him and his staff that nationally we would be NC favorites coming in. That would have never been said of a Bowden era team. He has brought this program a long way. He has beaten Bama 3/5 years (both times in T-Town). And we only have to look to our brothers on the western side of the state to see what a coaching carousel does to the program. And did you see the way those boys played for him last night? So believe it or not, Tommy H. Tuberville should not be fired by Auburn University. Now if he keeps his job, does he honestly 'win.' Because we all know damn well that as long as he's here he will be on the hot seat. Every season people will wonder if he'll make it. Every year media wise will be just the way this one was. In all honesty I think he might last a year or two more, no more than that. And don't get me wrong, I cannot stand the man, but now is not the time to fire him. And btw, Auburn- 28 Bama- 23. War F'n Eagle.
