Irony and Republicans. Evil Republicans.
Zion City is a metaphor for Washington D.C. and the agency is merely a metaphor for George W. Bush's administration. There is no "reality" other than that which the military industrial complex foists upon "us," which in "reality", is a self-replicating computer program known as "American Culture." This "culture" celebrates individual identity all the while manipulating government, news, and "individual identity" itself to get their way. There is no "awakening" in the end. If the Buddhist "awakening" truly overcomes our delusions, why didn't it do a better job of inoculating "us" against ultranationalist propaganda? Understand? Start thinking in "quotation marks" and you will. "You" will.
