"Game comments"

First of all...kudos to USC. Looks like they've got a great team and a great coaching staff. Second of all, how can coaches have 8 months to prepare for a game and then come out with no game plan? Inexcuseable. They put 8 in the box. So what? Why run up the white flag? Pee Wee coaches know you defeat speed by running right at it. Their line slanted every play (ususally into the play). So what? Block 'em the way they want to go and run backside cuts. Were the coaches afraid we'd lose? At least try to exercise your strength. The one time I recall we did it Cadillac ripped off about 20 yards. Campbell - I think he did the best he could under the circumstances. If the damn wide receivers would have made a catch every now and then (and then held the ball when they did), it may have been a little different. Campbell's big mistake was the INT. Just throw it away, son. Defense - You forgot how to tackle, otherwise, it's tough to stop a good team when they only have to go 24 yards at the most to score. Blame - Squarely on Tubs and Nallsminger, IMHO. Again, 8 months to watch film and formulate a plan. Instead, it looks as if we're drawing plays in the dirt with our finger. Establish something (run or pass) I don't care, and then play off that instead of looking like, "What do you want to try now?" I'm sick and tired of being embarrassed. I don't mind getting beat, but I do mind getting embarrassed. That's it for me. This happens one more time and I'm off the Tuberville reservation. The Future - The USC game is over. At the end of the season it will be just a loss and if things don't change radically, it will have at least 4 more to go with it. I'm putting it behind me and starting over this Saturday. Tech is not a good team. If we win without much effort and make it by 3 TD's or more, people will be feeling better. If it is at all close, in any repsect, we have very deep troubles that will be impossible to correct this year.
