I FINALLY gave in to the whole "Orange is our color" garbage and wore an all orange shirt on Saturday. Orange is not "our" color. For as long as I have been following Auburn, which granted is not as long as some of you, Blue has been the primary color. Orange was always used just as a nice looking accent on EVERYTHING! Orange facemasks looked stupid. I didn't see the orange jerseys but I'm sure they were awful. I'M SICK OF ORANGE! Now I am a little bias because I am originally from SC and grew up despising Clemson and their ugly orange uniforms. Orange belongs to Clemson, UT, and Texas. Granted, Texas and UT are on the fringe boundaries of the orange spectrum but it's still orange. I've never heard a cheer end with "kick'em in the but Big ORANGE!" Our color is BLUE! Maybe if our coach, AD, and SID were more concerned with the play of our team than media relations and what looks good on TV then games like Saturday night might occur a little less often! I am starting a campaign right now. Bring back the tradition of the BLUE. There have been enough changes in tradition already. BLUE IS OUR COLOR! I'm tired of looking like the great pumpkin! I'll be in NAVY on Saturday at Grant Field. Who cares if I get heat stroke! I'm burning that hideous orange thing. We have done nothing since this whole "orange" campaign began. You never saw Pat Dye in an orange shirt. God forbid an Orange blazer!!! I felt like I was in freaking Death Valley(SC) on Saturday. Our orange is a great trim color. I think our uniforms are some of the best looking in the country because the dominant color is BLUE! STOP THE MADNESS! Nip this horrible idea in the bud! Nip it! Nip it! Nip it!
BLUE IS OUR COLOR!
