Maybe it played into the full game . . . but we've basically screwed away two Iron Bowl wins on stupidity. First, two years ago we run into the short side with the clock on the line and don't get down. We win the game but for that. Then, this year, wow . . . we have to have multiple bone headed plays to gift the game away. First, we inexplicably change punt returners, in the last 5 min of the game, with us ahead and a chance to burn the clock. WTF? Hell it would have been better to just let the ball bounce to where ever it bounced to. Then we rush, and that is being very kind in my description of what they did, 2 guys, let one stand there and look at Bammer QB . . . allowed all our safeties with their heads facing forward run to one side of the field and left a CB running back, head around, to cover the WR . . . after the QB had literally all day and no pressure to throw. Talent gap with the players had not a #badword#ing thing to do with any of that . . .
You know we think there is magic at Jordan Hare with some of the stuff that happens there . . . I guess the Prayer was that maybe . . . but the kick six was not . . . Gus called a TO to change the setup and who was back. That wasn't magic. That was a coach paying attention to the game.
We've had a lot of stupid suck the magic right out of that home field. That shit has got to stop.
