"a cool story on Dye's Crooked Oaks"

a buddy of mine from Auburn days from Birmingham lives in Seattle. some of us went out to see him last December and go to the Auburn basketball game at Washington Huskies. ended up being last road trip with Gerald White. Bill had told us a story a couple of years ago about when Washington State played at Auburn in 2013, he brought several friends (customers) that are college football fans. they stayed at Crooked Oaks. none had been to an SEC game before so they were really excited. they played golf on Friday and when they get back that night, they grilled and had more beverages. so at some point during the early evening, coach Dye walks in. goes to his cabinet, grabs some Jack and pours it in a glass and goes to sit at the table with them. Bill said coach told his friends stories for hours. they were in awe. those guys said it was the greatest night of their life. definitely a night they'll never forget
