happened in Talladega over the weekend.  89 year old Red Farmer, an original member of the Alabama Gang, won a heat race at the dirt track Saturday night.  This is after surviving COVID and being hospitalized with COVID related  pneumonia in July.  It was a heat race and not the feature but he hopes to run the feature in October on his 90th birthday. That's a tough old man. [OT] Red Farmer won his heat race at Talladega! At age 89 he pulled away from the field, looking in top form! : NASCAR (reddit.com)
