I am returning to Columbus on Wednesday.  I have been in Jacksonville, FL since Oct 19 being treated for prostate cancer at the U of F Proton Therapy Center.  I am talking about this a bit here because the odds are that a number of the WHAB-ers will also have a similar diagnosis at some point.  When I was diagnosed in July I began doing research on options for treatment and places to go.  Proton Therapy is a type of radiation but has several major benefits over x-ray radiation.  I would not presume to tell anyone what path they should pursue if they need treatment but do strongly recommend considering this option.    I chose the U of F center because they have 15+ years practicing this method and their excellent track record.  I came with high expectations and they have been exceeded.  I have few to no side effects.  So that is probably enough.  I would be more than happy to have anyone contact me if they have questions.  Back for most of the basketball season!!!
