I am an advocate for masks because the data supporting wearing them is strong. HOWEVER:
We will be battling this virus for a while and the restrictions we put on ourselves and society need to be science and logic based. Forcing things through as a means of virtue signalling will only cause people to rebel. Most people are rational, despite what our culture portrays. That is why I oppose federal and state government mask mandates but strongly support BUSINESS mandates and even local community mandates.
Making people wear masks while physically alone on a ZOOM call is crazy and actually counterproductive to encouraging people to take mask wearing seriously.
