I assume since our punter was on our side of the field that the Bama coaches in the sky box alerted Saban that he was there. So Saban is bitching that we were going to go for it with a punter lined up as a WR. . .a punter who has ikely never caught a pass in his life. . .that AU would actually go for it from that field position? Saban is one analytical sumbitch and not a field general. All he had to do was tell his team to stay in punt formation. . .instead he shat his britches.
All Gus wanted was to keep Waddle off the field and it worked.
